As technology became more accessible, spaces became increasingly personal. Instead of listening to songs on the radio, each person has specific playlists on their phone. A screen becomes a brick wall to some and a treasure trove of information for others who take action with the means or determination to access it.
Cortex is an audiovisual work that uses digitally distorted analog content presented spatially. A hybrid of old and new mediums combined into one, the piece uses the unpredictability of analog manipulated by digital tools, to present it on different screens that work as windows to information and connectivity.
