WHITE ON WHITE Interactive media installation part of the RE/VOLVE collective for Tech Open Air Berlin 2018 in Funkhaus
WHITE ON WHITE is a reflection on material illusion. It is an installation through which you can explore light and the variation of shadows. Deconstructs the moment and the shadows so that the superposition of moments creates an experience for and by the people. WOW is a chamber of echoes, a sonic meditation, in which an unpredictable audio is recorded, played and performed – distorted – each time as a new piece of music.
Since the sound chamber from Funkhaus is the focus of WOW project, a bespoke sculpture interface is designed to utilize a shadow interactive experience and to be the input source that records the live shadows and projects them into the Möbius strip. In real time, a collection of effects are programmed to manipulate these shadows while lining the physical into digital composition.
The inspiration to the visuals is based on the features of the space such as the pillars, the crack in the room, and the light coming from it. An interactive performance is applied to reflect a smooth harmony with the walls visuals and also engage the audience with our playful shadow installation (Model).
The sound worked on recording voices and reformulating them in self-generating algorithmic waves. The live sound accompanied the movement to the rhythm in space.
